Evangelical Friends Missions

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are committed to taking the gospel of salvation to all nations baptizing them and teaching them to obey all He has commanded. (Matthew 28:18-20)

PEFC is a part of the Northwest Yearly Meeting of Friends (NWYM). NWYM is a member of the Evangelical Friends International-North America region (EFI-NA). The missions arm of EFI-NA is called Evangelical Friends Missions (EFM).

Through NWYM and EFM we directly support missionaries in Bolivia, Peru, Costa Rica (Spanish language school), and Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Jamaica, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Nepal, Philippines, Rough Rock (Arizona), Burundi and Rwanda. We are planting missionaries among several unreached people groups in Siberia and Nepal.

Many Friends of NWYM serve under other organizations such as the English Language Institute of China, World Gospel Mission, Wycliffe Bible Translators, Action International, Youth With A Mission, Gideons, Ramallah, World Vision, and World Concern, to name a few. These missionaries do everything from translating the Bible into local dialects to teaching people to read English; from teaching people about Jesus Christ to training pastors; from administration to caring for the sick and training others as nurses and doctor’s assistants.

At PEFC we have an informal relationship with the Edendale Evangelical Church near Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, and the Adoption Advocates International Orphanage and AIDS home near Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, as well as regular contacts with many missionaries throughout the world.
